About Tunde·Story
I learned how to photograph people. Then I became interested in what the photograph couldn't show.
For more than a decade, I've worked with a camera in my hands. Today, photography, filmmaking and thoughtful conversation come together in the search for what shaped the person in front of me.
What changed the work
Looking good isn't the same as being seen.
I began to realise that a beautiful photograph can still leave the most important things unsaid.
A face, without what shaped it.
A founder, without what it cost to build.
A mother at seventy, without the sound of her remembering seven.
A smile, without the distance travelled to find it again.
I became interested in the story behind the image.
What film added
Then film gave me something photography couldn't.
Voice
Movement
Silence
A held breath before an answer. A laugh when memory returns. The movement of hands shaped by a lifetime of work. The sound of a room and the ease between people who have known one another for decades.
Photography preserves the moment. Film lets me preserve more of the person inside it. Today, I bring the two together.
Before the camera
The camera is only part of the work.
Long before Tunde Cole Media, much of my life involved leading, coaching, teaching and listening to people through questions of identity, purpose, faith and change.
Those years taught me that meaningful stories do not appear simply because someone presses record. People need room, attention and enough silence to discover what they actually want to say.
My role is not to manufacture vulnerability. It is to create the conditions where something honest has permission to appear.
Beyond the title
I am interested in what shaped you.
Founder. Mother. Artist. Grandfather. Leader. These words name a role; they do not necessarily reveal the person inside it.
What did you overcome?
Who believed in you?
What almost made you stop?
What changed you?
What would be lost if nobody asked?
Those questions sit underneath everything we create at Tunde Cole Media.
Story. Transformation. Preservation.
I've come to see much of my work through these three ideas.
We uncover the experiences, people, decisions and moments that shaped what exists today.
We look for what changed, who became different and what exists now that did not exist before.
Once something meaningful has been uncovered, how do we create a record that can carry it beyond this moment? That is where photography and film become more than content.

Why the studio exists
People are worth paying attention to.
To reveal the human story inside a business. To witness someone at a significant chapter. To ask parents and elders the questions their families may one day wish they had asked.
I do not believe every story needs drama, publicity or a performance. I believe photography and film can create something that lasts beyond the day it was made.
Sometimes the most important part of my job is knowing how to look—and when to keep listening.
